To celebrate and participate in the International Peace Prayer Day on Saturday 18th June I am holding another half day meditation workshop from 9:30am -12:30pm in Brilley Village Hall.
The session will be suitable for absolute beginners wishing to get a taste of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation and long time yogis wishing to deepen their practice. Just come along with a cushion, comfortable clothing, a mat if you have one and, most importantly, a wide open mind! There will be chairs available too.
The morning will aim to give each participant the chance to experience the deep sense of inner peace and calm that is within reach of each of us, as we learn to master the breath, quieten the mind in meditation, and use sound current to cut through thought waves and create inner stillness. There will be a combination of very gentle breathing and beginners' yoga warm ups, together with longer meditations, both silent and chanting. We will also focus, as always in Kundalini Yoga, on radiating and sharing the inner peace that we discover, with each other, with loved ones and out into the world, by singing some beautiful healing mantras.
The session will be gentle enough for everyone, with some longer meditations that may challenge but bring about long lasting benefits and rewards. As last time, a safe, loving and non-judgemental space will be held so that you can experiment with letting go, challenge yourself or simply lie down on your mat relax and be present.
There will also, of course, be the chance to completely relax and renew before going back into your life - fortified with your breath and some yogi tea and wholesome snacks!
If you wish to gain maximum benefit from your practice wear white clothing, ideally in natural fibres, to enhance your aura, and a head covering/scarf/shawl. The latter helps us to quieten the mind, contain released energy and some see it as a sign of humility when involved in any kind of spiritual act. For some meditation is purely about mind control, focus, quiet and self-awareness, and for others it is a deeply spiritual practice. And for some it is a brand new experience with no other associations whatsoever. Whatever your approach and whatever you wear, you are welcome!
As with each time we come together to do yoga, I greatly look forward to this morning of meditation and feel honoured to be able to share it with you on such a special day. Book a place early as there are a lot of you these days! And share the word, forward this email and bring your friends.
I will charge £15 per person. Come to me to discuss concessions or with any questions. www.healingspirits.co.uk
