Walking Breaks in idyllic rural Herefordshire.
We are surrounded by magnificent countryside offering brilliant and varied opportunities for walking including:

• gentle rambles around the local black and white villages
• stretches of and circular walks around Offa's Dyke path, a long distance footpath along the ancient border of England and Wales, the nearest access locally is just 3 miles away at Kington over the beautiful Hergest Ridge
• numerous walks and climbs in the Brecon Beacons from easy strolls to serious hikes, including opportunities to combine good walking with good pubs around Hay on Wye
• the wonderful open hills of Radnorshire, an unexplored and truly peaceful area of border country
• the spectacular dams and steep valleys of the Elan Valley

FACILITIES GENERAL INFORMATION

We are now offering mid week walking packages aimed at who have just a few days to spare and who want to sample the best that the area has to offer.

Our packages run for 4 nights from Monday - Friday to provide 3 full days walking and include:

• afternoon tea in the farmhouse on arrival, and an opportunity to discuss walking routes
• a package of 10 of the best routes, with detailed instructions, and relevant OS maps
• luxurious and very comfortable accommodation in either the Granary or Old Barn cottage
• ample provision for 4 self catering breakfasts, including our own produce
• a picnic lunch for each day's walking together with flasks of home made soup and coffee
• a 3 course dinner in the Farmhouse on your last night, plus local cheese, coffee and chocolates. We are keen and experienced cooks and serve only our own or other local produce.
• The price includes all elements of the package outlined above, and exclusive use of the cottage of your choice. The only additional cost will be for dinner on 3 nights. We can advise on good local pubs and restaurants if you do not wish to cook. We also stock the freezers in the cottages with good quality ready meals supplied by a local caterer - you just pay for what you use at the end of your stay.

  This walking package is self guided. If you would like to be guided we can arrange this at a small additional cost per person: £20 per person per day for a party of 2, £15 per head for 3,4 or 5 people, and £12 per head for 6 or more.
