Pony Trekking, Canoeing and Caving Holidays and Courses.
The Black Mountains in the Brecon Beacons National Park are well established as one of the most popular riding areas in Wales. The varied and rugged scenery; open commons and sheltered forest bridle paths are familiar to riders from all over Great Britain and Europe. Like much of central Wales, they are ideal riding country. Old drovers tracks and paths lead along the steep-sided valleys, whilst commons and flat-topped ridges provide for those who enjoy the occasional canter or gallop.
For groups who wish to participate in activities additional to Pony Trekking, we offer the choice of Caving and Canoeing. The Brecon Beacons National Park is ideal for these activities, with Caves, Rivers and Lakes within easy reach of Cadarn.
The Cadarn course fee includes: All meals including packed lunches, accommodation in heated bunkhouses, use of showers and drying room, evening talks related to centre activities, group Insurance, separate accommodation for visiting staff, riding programme as described with all equipment, riding and instruction with one instructor for each group of 10 guests and the provision of hard hats. All you need to bring is adequate personal clothing. Trail riders are asked to assist with serving out and clearing up after meals.
Bookings may be provisional at first with a reservation being held for 28 days without obligation. On confirmation a non-returnable deposit is paid. Group insurance is included in the prices stated.
The Centre is available for self-catering groups organising their own activities. The centre is within easy reach of the River Wye and the River Usk, Llangorse Lake and Hay-on-Wye. The area is noted for walking, canoeing, caving and pot-holing.
