Tregoyd Mountain Riding Centre has been providing riding holidays for many years, and offers a range of mounts from 13hh ponies/14.2hh cobs up to 16hh hunter types guaranteed to suit the needs of all ages and abilities. Riders are escorted by experienced instructor guides whose knowledge of the area ensures a varied and enjoyable ride.
We offer a choice of accommodation which includes hotels, guest house, farmhouse, bunkhouse and self catering farmhouse. All are within easy reach of Tregoyd Mountain Riding Paddock.
The mounts are carefully chosen for their reliable temperament and good manners, and those new to riding will find that a good sensible mount, expert advice and tuition both in the paddock and during the ride, by the end of the holiday they will be confident, knowledgeable riders.The mounts and the riding escorts are very experienced and visitors require no previous experience to enjoy riding in this beautiful part of Wales.
Riders are asked to assemble at 9.30am for Day and Half Day morning rides, and 1.30pm for afternoon rides.
Riders should wear suitable clothing such as anoraks, sweater, jodphurs or jeans (preferably loose fitting), riding boots, wellingtons or strong shoes. Riding hats are available at no extra cost.
Lunch break is usually taken at one of the local mountain inns.
Tregoyd Mountain Riders are pleased to offer bed and breakfast in the farmhouse at Tregoyd for riders who wish to bring their own horses. Tregoyd Farm is an ideal spot for either those wishing to stop en-route while exploring the trails of the Brecon Beacons National Park, the Black Mountains, the newyl established 'Three Rivers Ride', or for those wishing to use the farm as a base to ride out on a daily basis. The farm has easy access to both mountain and off-road riding.
